SOLID 3PV™ (Third Party Validation)
S.O.L.I.D. Authentication® validated the web site is genuine. But how does a manufacturer or trademark owner give the consumer the confidence that their logo or trademark is being used by an approved web site?
Now, with SOLID 3PV™ the owner of the logo can authenticate the use of their logo on a third parties site (or not) outside the control of that web site owner. Anyone can copy a logo and put it on a site, abuse is systemic. Now the owner of that logo can authenticate its use.
The video above shows two very distinct internet authentications taking place. Firstly the S.O.L.I.D. Authentication® window validated the site is genuine and is First Cyber Security's web site. Secondly moving the cursor over the logo's at the bottom of the page produces seperate small windows that leave the browser and join the S.O.L.I.D. Authentication® window. The logos they are showing authenticate that the logo owners allow this site to display their logos. So, you know it's a real site and you know the use of the logos is truly authorised.
SOLID 3PV™ validation is different
Many companies show a certificate if you click or hover over a logo to prove it's authenticity. However if you don't know what the certificate should look like, or where it comes from, how do you know it's genuine. With SOLID 3PV there is no doubt.
Hover over the logo below, the 'certificate' that appears offers £1,000,000 in guarantees and a secure SSL link. Of course, in reality it does neither. This shows how easy it is to create a pop up 'certificate' that appears to be authentic. This is made possible in part because the pop up is part of the browser. SOLID 3PV is different as the window that appears leaves the browser and moves towards the S.O.L.I.D. Authentication® window, wherever you have it on the screen. Additionally the control over whether the SOLID 3PV window appears is with the trademark owner, not the website owner, giving truly independent control and trust in the logo's providence.
