The instructions are the same, it’s only the paper format and spelling that differs.

I can’t be bothered with downloads and reading, tell me in 30 seconds!

  1. OK, run FCSInstall.exe to install the program and enter you unique identifier.
  2. When Internet Explorer or FireFox opens a FCS ‘always on top’ window also opens that you can drag anywhere convenient on your screen. It shows the icon of the active program, or the security state of the active browser window. The window can be enlarged to show the status of multiple browsers
  3. When you are at the site of a FCS subscriber, the FCS window will show their logo, giving you confidence it is safe. When you are at the site of a known spoof site it will go RED. You have to acknowledge you have seen this warning by clicking OK on a warning window.  If the site is not known to FCS it will display a yellow warning to proceed with caution.
  4. When the FCS window is green left click on it and a list of secure links provided by the subscriber will be displayed. If the FCS window is yellow or red you get a list of secure links chosen by FCS.
  5. Right click on the window and you can exit the program, leaving you unprotected if you continue to use your browser.

In summary, if your Bank or e-commerce company subscribes and you don't see their logo, beware.

Just glance at the window.
